I, Dafydd Caerfyrddin, Royal Herald to Their Majesties, Arianne and Hengist, do greet you, the populace of the Society of the Middle Ages!

Here is the court report from Bolcan’s Harvest Tournament and Celebration:

His Majesty’s Royal Court was opened, in the Incipient Shire of Bolcan, on Saturday afternoon, October 9, 2021.

His Majesty, Hengist Helgesson, King of Alendia, opened court with words for his populace.

The ministers and officers of the society who were present, swore oaths of homage and fealty to Their Majesties.

The general populace there present then swore their oath of fealty.

Hafpora Kristna was knighted within the Order of St. Dobrodeia of Kiev, 1st Knighthood of the Robe (creating the guild “The Illuminated Scriptorum”, doing so many charters and teaching period painting).

Court was then suspended until later afternoon.

Court was reopened during the heavy combat tournament and Loptr Weillardsson was squired to His Majesty, Hengist Helgesson.

Court was then suspended until the evening.

Court was reopened with Baroness Elisabeth Grey sharing words of gratitude and thanks unto the populace.

Dafydd Caefyrddin then presented His Majesty with a product of the harvest of the local lands on behalf of the populace.

His Majesty inducted five members of the populace into the Order of the Vigilance:

• Vladimir of Bolcan
• Loptr Weillardsson
• Ruarc O’Cuana
• Zada d’Auray
• Dafydd Caefyrddin

Zada d’Auray was knighted within the Order of St. Dobrodeia of Kiev, 1st Knighthood of the Robe (for furthering information on historical documents and coins, and painting charters). She was also given the honorary title of “baroness”.

Adelaide Gregory was knighted within the Order of St. Teudrig, 1st Knighthood of the Quill.

Aaron Brandson was knighted within the Order of St. Teudrig, 1st Knighthood of the Quill.

Court was closed Saturday, October 9th, 2021.
