Court Report of Murdock and Serena, King and Queen of Álendia

Tournament of Succession

22 October 2022 being Anno Pax Domini II

 

The first order of business following the grand Tournament of Succession was to recognize the victor and his consort as the heirs apparent of the Crown of Álendia. Thus were Edewart von Dzierzgon and Morin ingen Ruaircc called into the presence and, having been properly introduced and authenticated, received the coronets of the heirs placed upon their heads.

 

The following individuals were recognized for skill in various arts as stated and raised to the rank of Knight Bachelor in the Order of the Golden Maunche:

  • Alexandra Notte Clare for fabric painting
  • Astridr Nilsdottir for jewelry crafting
  • Cordeilla ferch Rosser for embroidery and for painting banners
  • Giovanni Rocco for leatherwork (in absentia)
  • Hrolfr Hengestes sunu for diverse arts
  • Llywelyn Gruffydd for musical arts
  • Renee du Valier for diverse arts and heraldic rendering (in absentia)
  • Svena Johansdottir for diverse arts
  • William of Gloucester for bardic arts (in absentia)
  • Xene Theriane for musical arts

 

The following individuals were recognized for skill in martial arts as stated and raised to the rank of Knight Bachelor in the Order of the Golden Chain:

  • Alexandra Notte Clare for archery
  • Reinhard Siebert historical armored combat
  • Hrolfr Hengestes sunu for archery
  • Johann Wolfgang von Aue for historical armored combat

 

The following individuals were recognized for service to kingdom and Society and raised to the rank of Knight Bachelor in the Order of the Golden Quill:

  • Johanna Jakobsdottir
  • Matilda Spycer
  • Uilliam MacAdam

 

Galen of Bristol, having mentored three squires to the rank of Knight Bachelor in the Order of the Golden Chain and having completed the requirements set forth in Codex Societatis for higher recognition, was summoned forth and created the first Lord of Álendia in the form of Knight Banneret of the Golden Chain.

Caradoc ap Cadwgan was awarded a Lion d’Or for distinctive acts of chivalry upon the field of honor, most notably for earning the right to compete in the final round.

Finally, having traveled the furthest of any of those attending this grand tournament, Edewart von Dzierzgon (once again) received a Wayfarers Award.

Over the course of two days, a number of acts of renown were recognized with the issuance of ribbons. These are detailed here collectively in spite of being awarded at various points throughout the weekend.
